I have always wanted to help people. I remember as a child on
rainy days playing school with my friends. I loved being the
teacher, since it was such fun to help my friends learn
something new! I went on to get a BA in elementary
education. When I graduated, elementary school teaching
jobs were very hard to get, so I taught at a preschool for a
year. I found that I loved working with the children (boy, four
year-olds are a lot smarter than I thought they would be!), but I
wasn’t satisfied.
I had an opportunity to join a small software company, which is
where I began my computer programming career (even though
in my freshman year of college I took a computer class and
swore I would NEVER touch a computer again…). Since that
time, I have held various technology roles – from software
developer, to project manager, to information technology (IT)
auditor. In 1992, I completed my MBA at Boston University and
in 2000, I completed the requirements to become a Certified
Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Although, I left the teaching profession, the need to help
others and share my knowledge has followed me throughout
my career. For example, in my position as an IT Auditor, if
someone that I was auditing had a problem that they shared
with me, I tried my best to do something to improve their
situation.
In the late 1990's, I heard about coaching when Cheryl
Richardson appeared on the Oprah Show. When I listened to
Cheryl and found out what she did for a living, I thought, I’d
LOVE to do that! I hate to admit it, but it took me quite a while
to get myself moving forward in my career as a professional
coach. Ultimately, it took working with my own coach to realize
that coaching really is THE career for me!
Pursuing a career as a professional coach has been very
exciting. It feels like I learn new things everyday that I pass
along to my clients. In order to provide the best coaching
experience for my clients, I have:

About Me
I grew up in Rye, New York and, as I mentioned, I did my
undergraduate work at the University of Rhode Island. Once
in New England, I couldn't leave! I love being close to the
water! I am fortunate to live on Cape Cod, Massachusetts
with my husband, our two cats and our dog. We love the true
feeling of community in this small Cape town. We enjoy
gathering in the morning at the general store for coffee and
tea with friends, riding our tandem on the Cape Cod Rail Trail
and walking on the beautiful beaches of the Cape! In my
spare time, I like to read, garden and travel.
