2Young2Retire Program
Better Than Ever Coaching
Do you want retirement to be a time of
real fulfillment?

Would you like to continue to be a
valuable resource to your community
during your retirement years?
2Young2Retire program will be perfect for you!

The first wave of baby boomers are entering their 60’s in great
numbers. The largest, most demanding, and most examined
generation in history is already
facing a future that looks
nothing like their parents' second half of life
. There is
another population, the pre-boomers, age 62-72, who are
looking for alternatives to full time leisure.

Consider the following:
Unlike their parents for whom secure jobs and pension-
funded retirements were bedrock, boomers recognize
that they will need to be as self-reliant and self-
starting about the next part of life, as they have been
about their careers and lives to date.
Boomers in general have been hard-working, big
spenders and poor savers, and most of them are now
recognizing that leisure-based retirement is a thing of the
past.  The majority of this group will seek work, but on
their own terms, thus redefining work itself.
Many boomers, according to the recent Civic
Ventures/MetLife study, will seek to 'do well by ‘doing
good' in the next phase of life, in service professions like
teaching and health care.
Boomers tend to be healthier and more youthful than
their parents and will enjoy many bonus years of
productive living.

2Young2Retire Program Overview:
This program is based on the popular book, Too Young to
Retire: 101 Ways to Start the Rest of Your Life and Too Young
to Retire: A Journal of Transition
.  It will be led by me, a
2young2retire Certified Facilitator.  This course addresses key
issues to ensure a
healthier and happier transition to the
next chapter of your life, which can be a time that can be longer
than many previous careers.

By participating in the 2Young2Retire program, you will
explore:
The Aging and Retirement Mindset: Embracing the
realities of the Longevity Revolution
Money: The unresolved issues that could be getting in
the way
Wellness: Transitioning with extreme vitality
Work: Reworking work -- how much, when, where
101 Cool Business Ideas to Spark Your Imagination
Volunteering: The value of community service
Leisure: Getting the balance right

At the conclusion of the 2Young2Retire program, you will:
Think differently and more creatively about your next
phase of life.
Understand what is meaningful for you.
Have clarified your intentions and priorities.
Take responsibility and action to create what you want.
Be ready to move confidently toward your gifted years
with more vitality, spirit and a renewed sense of purpose.

Process:
A small group of participants (maximum 10) will meet weekly
with for 90 minutes for 6 weeks.  To ensure that all participants
are fully engaged with the content and exercises, the dialog will
be conducted using the Conversation Café method.  This
method allows each participant to express his/her thoughts and
actively listen to the wisdom expressed by other participants.
The conversations create a sense of community where support,
authenticity, clarity, momentum and actions take place from a
desire to create a fulfilling next chapter.

Between sessions participants have assignments to deepen the
learning experience and accomplish action steps along the
way.  These assignments can be done individually or with a
buddy from the group.

A 2Young2Retire group program will starting on
September
24, 2008!
We will meet Wednesday evenings, from 6pm to 7:30pm,  for 6
weeks -- September 24th thru October 29th at the Nauset
Regional Middle School in Orleans, MA.

The cost of this program is $70.  Please register through the
Nauset Community Education Department at: (508) 255-4300
or visit their website:
www.nausetcommunityed.org.

What if the content sounds great, but you'd prefer to
work on this individually?
